Mr. Crawley’s practice focuses on civil and criminal litigation before state courts, federal courts and in administrative proceedings.
Mr. Crawley has handled many jury and bench trials and has written and argued appeals. He has represented individuals in a variety of matters including civil disputes and has represented criminal defendants accused of bank fraud, mail fraud, drug trafficking, racketeering, rape, murder and other serious crimes. He has also represented both grand jury and trial witnesses and counseled individuals facing government investigations.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Crawley served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Richmond, Virginia. As an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Mr. Crawley prosecuted many trials ranging from simple traffic cases to homicide. Before serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Mr. Crawley served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable William T. Newman, Jr., Arlington County Circuit Court, Arlington, Virginia. As a law clerk, Mr. Crawley assisted the court with interpreting laws and researching legal issues involving complex civil, criminal and probate matters. In particular, Mr. Crawley handled the Judge’s medical malpractice cases and coordinated the Court’s medical malpractice review panels.
